I’m Hattie Morris, a BJTC-accredited Broadcast Journalist currently working as a Researcher on ITV’s Oscars. My role involves pre-interviewing panel guests, crafting detailed briefs, supporting the edit of explainer VTs, and sourcing and assembling stills and footage to showcase the main stories of the night.
I’ve been fortunate to work on shows close to my heart, including Loose Women and its features team on projects like Loose Women: The Music and the Facing It Together domestic abuse campaign, which reached over 600 venues nationwide and even made its way to Parliament. These experiences taught me how to combine research, creativity, and editorial insight to produce content that drives real-world impact.
Alongside this, I’ve collaborated with film critic Mark Kermode at the BFI and the Girls On Film podcast, supporting research, social media, and on-location production, including coverage of the 78th Cannes Film Festival, all while completing my Master’s in Broadcast Journalism at City, University of London.
My work spans TV, radio, and social media, and I’m trained in media law, journalism ethics, data reporting, and studio production. I also enjoy using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, Avid, and CapCut.
Before journalism, I trained in opera, an experience that honed my ability to perform under pressure, connect emotionally with audiences, and tell stories that linger. At the heart of everything I do is a simple mission: to make stories engaging, relatable, and meaningful, helping audiences feel seen, inspired, and entertained.
